&PIZZA (something everyone can agree on)

Alexandra Moss

I’m a pretty particular eater. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to find a restaurant with friends where everyone agrees but me. My friends refuse to order for me at restaurants when I’m running late out of fear of getting something I don’t like. They aren’t wrong. I can’t remember the last time I ordered a dish without asking for a substitution or to leave something off.

Well, I can’t remember before I visited &pizza. I found myself there with Sip and Serve Me editor, Jenna, and mentally prepared myself for the run of the mill cheese pizza that I always get because I know it’s safe.

Thank you &pizza, for opening my mind and making me realize that toppings are my friend.
Seriously, I didn’t try a single thing I didn’t like (which is a feat in itself) and I didn’t feel bad about what I was putting into my body because the dough is organic and the rest is local whenever possible.

Gnarlic. I liked this one so much that I headed to a meeting with it. Note to self: Never offer people good pizza if you don’t actually want to share. You might not get a piece.
Moonstruck. Apparently, I love mushrooms. I’m shocked.
Lori Lane. I’m normally against my fruit touching anything but this dessert pizza is delish.
I’ve been back since and created my own. I’m partial to the ancient grain dough, basil pesto sauce and mozzarella balls as my cheese. Oh, and the sun-dried tomatoes as a finish. When you create your own, you have unlimited toppings which I never pictured myself being as excited about as I am.

I’m a New Yorker. I know good pizza. Guys, you’re missing out if you don’t try &pizza.  It’s located at 15 West 28th Street between Broadway and 5th, steps away from the RW trains.
P.S. Their drink selection is also fantastic. Not only do they have selections from their partnership with Milk, but they brew their own teas. Sweet Mint is the best.

Alexandra is planted in New York City which she considers to be the greatest city in the world (Paris is a close second). She had moved over thirty times by the age of twelve and has since lost count. This brought on an insane case of wanderlust for which she hopes to never find a cure.  Growing up, she was a huge Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen fan which led her to find a love for fashion as they grew to be designers.  She considers Audrey Hepburn to be the best dressed person of all time and often looks through pictures of her when she can't decide what to wear. She has an avid fear of getting wrinkles and avoids things that bring them like the plague.

She absolutely hates to be alone and finds any excuse to plan parties, cook for friends, or even herd children. You will often find her watching Annie (2014), crafting, convincing people to hold her hand, wearing dark lipstick, asking someone what their favorite thing about life is, or sitting with half a watermelon in her lap with a spoon. She loves to win (even in noncompetitive situations), Christmas, and to serve people in any way she can.
