A Week in White

Memorial Day Weekend marks the unofficial official start of Summer time! Being a Florida girl myself, I live for Summer fashion. I wear white bottoms all year round to keep the Summer feeling alive! I love how white denim can look dressier than regular blue denim and it makes you look tanner! Win!

I rounded up some of my favorites to get your Summer wardrobe started.

THESE JEANS - I am OBSESSED with these jeans which also come in blue denim. Every time I go out in them I get so many compliments. J. Crew does no wrong in the denim department and these jeans do not disappoint. The high waist is super flattering and denim is a bit stretchy. Stretchy = comfortable!
One odd thing I noticed – I own the blue denim and the white denim and for some reason, the white ones run SO much smaller. They are a completely different fit. The blue ones run big. Go at least two sizes down. That’s what I did and they are still very baggy, like boyfriend style. The white are TIGHT (in the best way 😉) and look amazing on the booty. Get your regular size in white or go UP if you want a baggier fit. Another plus – they’re on sale right now!

Have a tropical vacation coming up? These pants are for you! The gauze-like linen makes them cool and comfortable, perfect for a warm climate. If you live in a tropical climate with humidity these pants are for you. There’s nothing worse than putting on tight jeans when it is humid outside. Yuck! I like them because they’re cool and breathable while still protecting your skin from the sun if you’ve been out for too long. They would also be great to throw on at night with a sweater if the temperature drops. I would rock these with a crop top, off the shoulder top, or a bikini top. These are the perfect pair to stay nice and comfy after a long day at the pool with Pina Coladas. Love!

Fringe is IN right now. It is everywhere.  This is definitely a casual piece, but I love these shorts!  PLUS - these come with a matching top! So fun. I’m loving two pieces right now.  I would pair this set with a denim jacket and fun sandals. Great for any Summer music festivals you may be attending.

If the jeans and fringed shorts above had a baby it would be this skirt.  Everything about this skirt is amazing. I love Anthropologies’ clothes because of the incredible detail they put into everything they make. The buttons are so cute and the fringe makes what would be a rather plain skirt unique.

Rompers are key to surviving Summer. If you’re lazy (like me) there is nothing better than having a closet full of rompers. Nothing is easier or more comfortable. I hate trying to match outfits when you’re just NOT in the mood in the morning! I love this one because it would be so comfortable for a night out! Add a fun clutch and - boom - you’re done.

I hope you've been inspired to bring out the white from the back of your closet and rock it! Make sure to tag @sunshine_and_lace on Instagram of you rocking your white. Happy unofficial start of Summer!
