7  Miniseries You Didn't Know Were Missing in Your Life

Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, HBO GO - you name it, I’ve got a subscription. Nothing beats coming home from a long day at work and turning on your favorite TV show or staying inside on a rainy Saturday to watch that movie you’ve seen more than you care to admit. But in the same breath, I’m going to admit to you there are times when movies leave me wanting more and when TV series feel never-ending. Enter: the miniseries.

Over the last few years, I’ve become nearly obsessed with finding new miniseries. And with the joy and freedom of summer just around the corner, I wanted to share some of my favorites with you.

Death Comes to Pemberley (2013): Guys, guys, guys. This story picks up after Elizabeth Bennett becomes Elizabeth Darcy. All is well in this fairytale; until the unexpected happens… Murder most foul. This mystery series stars Anna Maxwell Martin, Matthew Rhys, and Matthew Goode. I’d highly recommend this for a rainy evening in, with the lights turned off, and all the junk food you can find.

Jenna was born and raised in farm-country Pennsylvania. After attending college in Virginia and grad school in Maryland, she worked her way back up the East Coast to New York City. Her first job out of school was working with adults with developmental disabilities which she found to be incredibly rewarding.. Now she finds herself advocating for the rights of senior citizens in NYC.

Inspired by books penned by strong, comedic women such as Tina Fey, Carrie Fisher, and Jenny Lawson, she hopes to one day write a book herself. Among her family and friends, she's known for her Julie Andrews obsession, leaving umbrellas everywhere, and knowing useless pieces of trivia. In her spare time, she loves to try new restaurants, binge-watch Netflix, wander through botanical gardens, and eat insane amounts of popcorn.
